What will Telnyx actually charge you this month?

Telnyx quotes voice in US dollars in every country, and keeps each country's rates behind a country picker on one page. Pick yours here, enter your minutes, and see the whole month broken out, including the US$0.002 a minute Voice API fee that the trunk rate on Telnyx's page leaves out. These are Telnyx's published rates and Telnyx bills you direct: we add nothing.

What runs on top of Telnyx

Telnyx carries the call and bills you for it. WhautoVoice answers it.

Paste your Telnyx keys and a phone number becomes a phone system on top of Telnyx: an AI voice agent that books, answers and qualifies, and a live desk for your team when a caller needs a person. One flat fee, nothing per minute marked up.

AI voice agent, 24/7

Answers every call in the caller's language, books and qualifies, and hands the hard ones to a person with the transcript. Runs on your own OpenAI, xAI Grok or ElevenLabs key.

Live desk in the browser

A softphone for every agent with queues, business hours, warm transfer from the AI and presence for the whole team. No desk phones to buy and no separate product to pay for.

The whole phone system

Visual call flows, outbound campaigns, recordings and transcripts, reports, webhooks and a REST API, plus a separate workspace for each brand, location or client you run.

WhatsApp calling

Customers tap call in your WhatsApp chat and it rings here over SIP trunking on your Telnyx or Twilio account. Connect a Whautomate, WhautoChat or partner number and the same bots answer.

Mobile apps for your team

iOS and Android apps so agents can take and make calls on the move, see who is waiting in the queue and get alerts for missed calls and AI handoffs.

Flat fee from US$39

How Telnyx bills voice

A Telnyx voice bill has three parts, and the first two arrive as one line. Trunk minutes are Telnyx's Elastic SIP Trunking rate, set per country and per direction: inbound on a local or toll-free number, outbound to a landline or a mobile. The Voice API fee is US$0.002 a minute on every call that goes through Telnyx's Voice API, in both directions, on top of the trunk rate. WhautoVoice drives Telnyx through that API, as does any TeXML application, so the fee applies to every minute and this calculator has already added it to every rate it shows. Number rental is a flat monthly charge per number you hold, whether or not it rings, and carries no fee.

Everything is quoted in US dollars, in every country. Telnyx also publishes a euro price list, which this page does not use, and nothing here is converted.

The fee that the trunking page leaves out

This is the part that catches people. Telnyx's SIP trunking page leads with the trunk rate, which is what you would pay if you pointed your own PBX at Telnyx over SIP. A call made or answered through the Voice API costs that rate plus US$0.002 a minute. On a cheap route the fee is a large share of the total, which is why a rate that looks like a fraction of a cent on Telnyx's page comes out higher here. The figures on this page are the ones that reach the bill.

What this calculator does and does not include

  • Included: inbound minutes on a local number, outbound minutes split between landline and mobile, and monthly number rental, all at Telnyx's published US dollar list price for the country you pick, with the Voice API fee added to every minute.
  • Excluded: volume discounts, the calls-per-second surcharges Telnyx applies to high-rate outbound dialling, call recording, transcription and the other per-use Voice API extras, SIP interface and browser legs, taxes and regulatory fees.
  • One outbound rate in some countries: the United States, Canada, Hong Kong and South Africa publish a single outbound rate with no landline and mobile split, so both lines show the same figure there. That is correct, not a bug.
  • Toll-free inbound is a "starting at" rate on Telnyx's page, because the cost of a toll-free call depends on the calling number. The calculator prices inbound on a local number; the toll-free figure appears in the note under the results for the countries that have one.

Why we show you a rival's price list

Because it is your bill, not ours. WhautoVoice is bring-your-own-key: you connect your own Telnyx account, Telnyx charges you the rates above with no markup from us, and our invoice is a flat platform fee that includes a monthly allowance of processed minutes, with extra minutes at half a cent. We have nothing to gain from you not knowing what minutes cost, and quite a lot to gain from you comparing our flat fee against a bundled vendor that buys these same minutes wholesale and resells them to you at retail.

Frequently asked questions

It depends on the country and the direction, and every figure here already includes the US$0.002 a minute Voice API fee. In the United States Telnyx charges about US$0.0052 a minute to receive a call on a local number and US$0.0070 a minute to place one, at a single rate for landlines and mobiles. In the United Kingdom it is about US$0.0070 inbound, US$0.0062 to a landline and US$0.0220 to a mobile. Pick your country above to see the current figures.

Because that page shows the trunk rate on its own. A call placed or answered through Telnyx's Voice API, which is how WhautoVoice and any TeXML application drives Telnyx, is billed the trunk rate plus a US$0.002 a minute Voice API fee. Every per-minute figure on this calculator is that fee higher than the trunk rate on Telnyx's page, so it matches what lands on the bill. Number rentals carry no fee and are the same on both.

Yes, per number per month, separately from call minutes and with no Voice API fee on top. A United States local number is US$1 a month and a US toll-free number is also US$1. A United Kingdom local number is US$1 and a toll-free one US$2. Some countries are far more expensive: a local number is US$150 a month in the United Arab Emirates and US$200 in Saudi Arabia. Every country on this page sells a local number, so the rental line is never a mobile or national number in disguise.

No. You connect your own Telnyx account, Telnyx bills you direct, and no markup is added. WhautoVoice charges a flat monthly platform fee and never meters your talk time. Two separate bills, and we never touch the second one.

They are Telnyx's published list prices as at the date shown under the results, read from the same public pricing feed that Telnyx's own pricing page renders. Telnyx changes rates without notice and applies volume discounts we cannot see, so treat this as an estimate and check Telnyx's price page for your country before you budget.

On list price, in most of the countries here, yes, even with the Voice API fee included: a United States outbound minute is US$0.0070 on Telnyx against US$0.0140 on Twilio, and a US local number is US$1 a month against US$1.15. It is not universal, so run the same month through the Twilio calculator and compare before you decide. Either carrier works with WhautoVoice.
